Marta González-Páez
In 2005 I graduated as a veterinarian at the University of Córdoba (Spain) and after working in different practices within Spain and Germany, I relocated to the UK.
In 2013 I suffered a serious sports injury. After trying different treatments with little improvement, a friend recommended acupuncture. After just 1 treatment there was a 75% improvement. It was then when my interest in acupuncture began, realising that conventional treatments are not always enough to deal with all the injuries and illnesses.
This is how I became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and shortly after I also specialized in Veterinary Chiropractic by the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC).
For 2 years I continued working in a busy equine clinic as a conventional veterinarian and at the same time I launched Integravet to dedicate fully in what I believe in and enable more animals to benefit from treatments focused on the optimization of animal health and welfare.
Soon I realized the importance of being able to incorporate physical exercises to further help the return to normal and optimal functionality of our animals, both geriatric, surgical or neurological. It was then that I decided to study the specialty of Veterinary Rehabilitation at the University of Tennessee, called Canine Rehabilitation Certificate Program (CCRP).
My interest for this specialty leads me to continue training to be able to offer the best veterinary care and help our faithful companions enjoy a longer, healthier and happier life.
